Supply Chain Coordinator


This position will have duties in the purchasing and logistics space within the Supply Chain team. The Coordinator will work closely with the Purchasing team and global supplier base, managing the life of the purchase order from entry to receipt into inventory. Within Logistics, the Coordinator will manage reporting and communication on inbound shipments and troubleshoot lost or delayed sales order shipments. The Coordinator will work daily with suppliers, sales, customer service, and the warehouse team. This role plays a critical part in upholding the company’s commitment to customer excellence by facilitating the timely flow of Pyramex’s product through the supply chain. This function will align with the objectives of a supply chain organization that focuses on optimization, resilience, and the customer experience.

Essential Duties & Requirements

  • Create purchase orders and confirm the information with suppliers
  • Engage with suppliers weekly to monitor purchase order production and track incoming shipments
  • Manage, update, and report on all purchase order status and arrival date changes
  • Verify that supplier invoices are accurate, calculate landed cost, and receive inventory into ERP system in a timely manner
  • Execute item maintenance in the Pyramex ERP system, including new item set up, item changes, and conduct annual review 
  • Monitor Freight Forwarder and Ocean Carrier websites to track inbound containers. Manage and publish weekly tracking report to be utilized company-wide
  • Provide support to customer service and sales by troubleshooting late, lost, and damaged shipments with carriers. This will include managing claims and reimbursement when applicable
  • Build a solid understanding of Pyramex’s end-to-end supply chain (suppliers, product lines, logistics network, and carriers) to assess the impact of supply chain disruptions when they occur and take action

  • Problem Solving – identifies problems, researches and analyzes problems, determine alternative solutions and creates action steps to solve problems


  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Access) required
  • Demonstrated math, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Prior experience in supply chain preferred: purchasing, distribution and/or international logistics.
  • High School Degree required, further education preferred
